Our History

Pengenna Pasties had its beginning in April 1985 as a family run hotel and restaurant. Building on attractive tea garden facilities and 'olde worlde restaurant' early fame was achieved through the acclaimed Pengenna Cream Teas.

Firmly established as part of the 'Made in Cornwall' scheme a specialised bakery business was developed.

Through our 'On Show Bakeries' customer awareness and satisfaction has provided the momentum for expansion throughout Cornwall. From humble beginnings we have now expanded to three full retail shops: Tintagel, Bude and St Ives.

The Hotel

The Pengenna is situated in the historically renowned village of Tintagel on the rugged North Cornwall coast. It looks out on the Atlantic Ocean and is situated opposite the pathway to Tintagel Castle and the beach.

You have a choice of tastefully furnished en suite bedrooms and can choose to eat in the Olde Worlde restaurant or take a cream tea in our tea garden.The scenery is breathtaking-the air invigorating.
