For vegan takeaway options you couldn’t do better than Pengenna Pasties. This, and the Pengenna branch in Tintagel, is favourites of mine selling satisfyingly substantial vegan Cornish pasties, scones and sweet pastries.

Vegan guide to Bude and Tintagel

Hello, Just wanted to congratulate you on the amazing pasties the shop in Bude produces. We were on holiday there last week again and had several trips to the shop at different times of the day. Each time the staff were fabulous and the pasties – steak were delicious and demolished completely once they had cooled down. They are a particular favourite of my teenager and toddler!

Thank you for feeding my family in the busiest time of year for you!!

When I visited Cornwall and Tintagel, our guide knew to take us to the best pasty shop in Cornwall and that is you.

I live in the States and would love to be able to eat one of your pasties again. I don’t suppose you would ever consider going international in your shipping

Many many thanks to the lovely lady at the Bude shop that served me up some lovely pasties right at the end of the day last Sunday 30th August. She still managed a smile and a joke with me despite it being really past closing time and I appreciated it a lot. You see, my best girl Nettie has been too ill to make it down to Cornwall in recent years, so it’s become a bit of a tradition for me to take her back ‘a little taste of the kingdom’. As I was due to go home on the Monday (bank holiday) I suddenly realised I might not get the chance to get some ‘proper job’ pasties! What a life saver your Bude lady was, and Nettie says your pasties really are ‘Simply the best!’

Great pasties! Pengenna Pasties is easy to find in St Ives and is just a short stroll from the sea, so you can eat in the open air. The vegan pasty is marked on the menu, and the staff are well-informed about which other dishes are vegan (the scones and flapjacks). The vegetable pasty was big and filling, with lots of onion, potato, carrot, sweetcorn and beans. It was good and warming!

I also had a plain scones, which was a good size and nice and sweet. A really nice place!

Whilst visiting Tintagel area on holiday we came across the Pengenna Pasty shop. Watched them being prepared and cooked from the outside window. We entered the small shop and were greeted by Ian who was very friendly and accommodating. We purchased a Traditional pasty each to take with us on the homeward journey to London.

When we stopped for a break on the trip back we all agreed they were the best pasties we had ever come across. The ingredients were superb and the pastry could not be faulted. For a snack, two persons could easily share one pasty.

I am about to order a pack of twelve pasties and share them amongst my friends. I cannot praise the pasties highly enough and will be eagerly awaiting the arrival of my order.

As a family, we visit St Ives every summer and always sample the delights of Pengenna Pasties. When my sister in law said she was hosting a Macmillan Coffee Morning, it was a natural progression that your scones should be included.

I have to say they went down a treat and had many compliments, which in turn led to the story being told of how they came to be. Can I please take this opportunity to thank you again for your kind contribution of jam and also monetary donation to the Macmillan charity. £650.00 was raised yesterday with your help.

Kind regards,
Barbara Ashcroft

I wanted to drop you a quick e mail to say that the service and of course the pasties we had at your Tintagel shop were fantastic! The scones were yummy too! We took some back to London with us!

Thank you! Bob
